Service Description

Gentle Yoga / Pilates repertoire with the help of a suspended silky hammock. My Restorative Aerial YogaLates session is a relaxing fusion of PILATES and YOGA in a silk hammock which is hanging down from the ceiling, around knee level from the floor. It is designed for beginners, where I teach you the basics like how to get into the hammock, fundamental terminology, getting into basic poses like zero compression inversions, basic transitions, how to breathe through the various sequences and how to get into the flow. The basic Aerial Yoga / Aerial Pilates classes strengthen your core muscles, help with mobility, and increase flexibility in focus of prevention and rehabilitation elements This type of class is even more so, because it is a synergy of the physiological benefits of YOGA and PILATES. It does not require great strength or endurance, so beginners and those with a sedentary lifestyle can also join this class, including those who wish to lose weight. What makes this Aerial Yoga class different from others? It is a fusion of Pilates and Yoga, a nice cohesion of these two body and ming concept performed in silky fabric hanging down from the ceiling. I compiled it specifically on the basis of further training in spine therapy with the involvement of a physiotherapist. The hammock is placed knee level, around 30-40 cm from the ground. In these classes, the primary task is to relieve stress, tightness in the mind and the body as well, so the exercises repertoire is diversified with active and passive stretching. Incorporating the movement with a correctly deepened breathing technique plays a central role in mobilising the spine, stretching the entire torso, joints and connective tissue. The tight muscles are loosened with exercises combined with relaxation, in which the positive physiological effects of swinging are used in various forms: Sitting, standing, lying on your back / stomach, kneeling, of course, all these are in the hammock. Our brain and body’s constant search for balance in the hammock ensures development during swinging, which consists of tensing certain muscles and simultaneously relaxing other muscles, which is a great neurological benefit. During practice our brain coordinates the high complexity work of neurons and muscles.
